Black Students Revolt Against “White Privilege” – You’ll Never Believe What Happens Next
Recently a bunch of black students at the University of Missouri decided enough is enough.
For decades, apparently these black students have lived in oppression and suffered from random taunts from ignorant white folks.
So, even though these black students come from relatively, and in some cases, wealthy families, they feel “white privilege” has somehow restricted their ability to strive and thrive in America.
Yes, even though Affirmative Action has stacked the deck in their favor, “white privilege” still holds them back.
Yes, even white people sympathetic to their goofy cause and demands can not invade their safe, healing spaces:
Student protesters at the University of Missouri asked white supporters to leave Wednesday night in order to create a “black only healing space.”
Steve Schmidt, an activist who was at the protest, tweeted that the Concerned Student 1950 group was “asking white allies to leave.”
Prominent Black Lives Matter activist Johnetta Elzie seemingly confirmed those with Caucasian skin were asked to leave the area, tweeting that the group had created a “black only healing space for the students to share, decompress, be vulnerable & real.”
Despite over fifty years since the Civil Rights Act, Affirmative Action, and even evidence within their own families, of black people succeeding in America, these black students are demanding more white sensitivity.
After all, having white folks in the same room, even white friends who support them, might offend them with their whiteness.
In other words, we want to practice “Black Privilege” because “White Privilege offends us and it’s wrong.
