All Hillary Knows How To Do Is Flip-Flop On Her Positions
Anyone who has paid attention to Hillary Clinton’s political career knows she is especially good at one thing — flip-flopping. She has changed her opinions on numerous issues. That is acceptable, but then she lies about changing her viewpoints.
The first notable example of this is her stance on same-sex marriage. Now, she claims to be a champion of LGBT rights. She praised the Supreme Court’s ruling on the issue and claims she was always a supporter of same-sex marriage. However, she used to be very opposed to it. In 2004, during her time in the Senate, she commented,
“I believe marriage is not just a bond but a sacred bond between a man and a woman.
…the fundamental bedrock principle that [marriage] exists between a man and a woman, going back into the midst of history as one of the founding, foundational institutions of history and humanity and civilization, and that its primary, principal role during those millennia has been the raising and socializing of children for the society into which they are to become adults.”
Clinton supported failed trade deals and policies such as NAFTA that she now denies ever supporting. She condemns it as a mistake that hurt Americans, but conveniently ignores that she was a proponent of it. Her support of TPP is a similar story. She supported it when Obama signed it, but now she does not even acknowledge her prior support of it.
She also shared Donald Trump’s view on illegal immigration. Now, she portrays him as a monster for wanting to keep people from crossing the border illegally, but she supported the idea of building a wall or some other type of barrier along the Mexican border while she was in the Senate. When asked about the issue last fall, she said
“Well look, I voted numerous times when I was a Senator to spend money to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in. And I do think you have to control your borders.
Because we will have a better economic outcome if we do that because what happens now is if you’re undocumented, you will work for as little as you can be paid. And that influences the labor market and takes away jobs from Americans because there’s no even playing field.”
At this point, we cannot even tell if Hillary Clinton herself knows where she stands. But we do know one thing — she is the epitome of liberal hypocrisy.
