This State Just Changed the Whole Social Landscape with One Little Word

And the slide toward total moral depravity continues…

The Conservative state of West Virginia has succumbed to two federal court rulings that recently struck down the state’s marriage protection amendment. In a notice sent to employees last month, the state tax authority now defines “spouse” to include married persons of the same gender. The “politically incorrect” terms “husband” and “wife” will no longer appear on state tax forms.

West Virginia had previously passed legislation that defined marriage as a union between a man and a woman. The notice explains that marriage has now been redefined, “The term ‘marriage’ includes marriage between individuals of the same sex, lawfully married under the law of any domestic or foreign jurisdiction having legal authority to sanction marriages.”

Whatever happened to “states rights”? I guess those must be also be “politically incorrect”.
