“You Gotta Stop” – Conservative Radio Host Slaps Down Cruz
Recently, Sean Hannity locked horns with Ted Cruz.
Hannity, a Trump sympathizer, tried to clarify the delegate system with Cruz.
“Senator, why do you do this? Every single time — no, you gotta stop!” he charged. “Every time I have you on the air and I ask you a legitimate question, you try to throw this in my face, I’m getting sick of it!”
Cruz quickly shot back: “Sean, can I answer your last question without being interrupted?”
Cruz then explained the delegate system and insisted that the “noise and complaining and whining” about the process is only coming from Trump and his supporters.
“I cannot help that the Donald Trump campaign is incapable of running a lemonade stand,” Cruz told Hannity. “Elections are won by voters and grassroots activists going up and voting for the candidate they support, and we are winning election, after election, election and nobody — as I’m traveling the country — nobody is asking me [about the delegate system] expect for the Trumpsters and people repeating it.”
Hannity is right.
It is a serious issue.
The delegate and nomination system is confusing, on purpose.
It favors party insiders.
It guarantees we get more of the same crony, status quo politicians representing us.
It strips us of the power of the individual vote.
